SPECIAL "00" MOWER
GREASE can replace other "00" greases or non EP gear lubricants
in gear cases that have worn and leaky seals. It is a stringy, tacky, very
soft lubricant for application where an "00" grease is required or desired.
The consistency of SPECIAL "00" MOWER GREASE assures
constant lubrication at all times to protect bearings whether they are
moving or at rest.

This product has an adhesive and cohesive
nature. It is adhesive in that it clings to metal surfaces that rotate
and is not pushed out of a bearing or rolled off a flat surface. It actually
wraps itself around a rotating surface to provide continued lubrication.
It is cohesive in that it sticks to itself preventing the shearing that
breaks down ordinary greases in a gear box. Naturally, the gear cases to
be lubricated with this type of grease are the non-extreme-pressure gear
sets.

Resistant
This product is excellent around moisture.
It is very water resistant because the aluminum stearate grease thickener,
itself, is highly water resistant. In addition to forming a shield against
moisture, it also seals out dust and dirt.

"00" MOWER GREASE Versatile
As already mentioned, it works in gear
boxes. It follows the gear teeth and moves from one gear to another, when
a series of enclosed gears is involved. SPECIAL "00"
MOWER GREASE can be used in several applications other than the
gear boxes of mowers. Occasionally, this product is used in centralized
lubrication systems on vehicles or heavy industrial machinery. The semi-fluid
grease moves readily through centralized lubrication systems. It will lubricate
loose-fitting plain bearings to seal out dirt and moisture.

Graphite
Part of the unusual quality of SPECIAL
"00" MOWER GREASE is the graphite solid film lubricant used in the
product. This is a very pure form of colloidal graphite, the best available.
The graphite is so fine, it is virtually impossible to see, even when the
grease is held up to light. The excellent grade of graphite provides a
smooth, solid base to prevent metal-to-metal contact.

Moly
Another solid film lubricant used in
SPECIAL
"00" MOWER GREASE is molybdenum disulfide. Moly, as it is known
in the industry, is twice as slippery as graphite and can carry pressure
up to 500,000 psi, once the micro-thin film has been deposited on the metal
surfaces. Even if the grease is squeezed out, the solid film lubricant
is left behind to provide positive lubrication. |
