| SUPER TRACK ROLLER
GREASE was originally made for the lubrication of track roller shafts.
Of course, since that time, many other applications have been found. The
product is made from extremely high quality oils, superb additives, dry
film lubricants, molybdenum disulfide, and graphite, as well as a grease
thickener (aluminum stearate) that is well-known for its ability to resist
water and for its adhesive and cohesive traits. |
SUPER
TRACK ROLLER GREASEIs
Adhesive and Cohesive
The product is a tacky grease. The stringy
adhesive nature means it will cling to metal surfaces that rotate and will
not be pushed out of the bearing or rolled off a flat surface. The cohesive
nature means it will cling to itself very well, giving it excellent sheer
stability. Its tacky nature prevents it from blowing out, or seeping out
of seals.
SUPER
TRACK ROLLER GREASEIs
Available In Three Weights
SUPER TRACK ROLLER
GREASE is available in three different weights. The weight "00"
is a fluid type of grease, the "0" is semi-fluid and #1 weight is a soft
grease. The various weights could be used in centralized lubrication systems.
They are particularly adaptable to large industrial machinery and heavy
mobile equipment where centralized lubrication systems are used. The products
will also pump easily through most hand or air operated equipment.
SUPER
TRACK ROLLER GREASEIs Very Water
Resistant
It is an extremely water resistant product.
In paper mills, for example, it will seal out corrosive water and pulp
which are both potential contaminants. In dirty environments, such as track
roller applications, it will seal out dust, dirt, and moisture. By sealing
out the contaminants, the grease is more protective of the metal surface
than oil would be. When a machine is stopped, oil would drain away from
bearing surfaces leaving them essentially unprotected. SUPER
TRACK ROLLER GREASE does not drain away from these surfaces thus
providing a protective film to protect against rust and corrosion.
SUPER
TRACK ROLLER GREASEFor
Gears (Non EP)
SUPER TRACK ROLLER
GREASE can be used in slow-moving, enclosed gears where a soft grease
or a semi-fluid lubricant is recommended. It follows the gear teeth and
moves from one gear to another when a series of enclosed gears are involved.
Naturally this is not for use on hypoid gears, rather it is for non-extreme
pressure types of enclosed gears. This grease assists the gearbox seals.
The grease tends to stay in the housing and does not leak or drip out.
This is particularly true as seals become worn. The effect on housekeeping
is obvious.
SUPER
TRACK ROLLER GREASEHelps
Reduce Noise
If a mechanism designed for oil has
continuous problems with its seals, perhaps changing to SUPER
TRACK ROLLER GREASE will be of benefit to the equipment. The grease
films will be thicker than the oil films, providing adequate lubrication.
A change to SUPER TRACK ROLLER GREASE will
permit the machine to continue to service at least until a maintenance
shut-down can be scheduled, and new seals can be put in place. In addition,
SUPER
TRACK ROLLER GREASE can reduce noise. As machines become worn, gears,
bearings, and shafts develop play. A loose, sloppy fit leads to noisy operation.
Under such circumstances, the thick films provided by grease cushion the
excessive movement and significantly reduce the noise level.
SUPER
TRACK ROLLER GREASEContains
Moly and Graphite Solid Film Lubricants
The dry film lubricants molybdenum disulfide
and graphite have both been added to SUPER TRACK
ROLLER GREASE. Both of these solid film lubricants do a good job
of reducing friction and heat as well as metal-to-metal contact. These
solid film lubricants provide additional lubricity and anti-seize properties
under a wide variety of conditions. They perform in low, medium, and high
temperatures. The moving parts are actually shielded from one another by
the thin film of molybdenum disulfide and graphite. Friction and wear rates,
as well as operating temperatures, will decrease because of the friction
fighting characteristics. |
