| Made of highly stable, well-refined
mineral base oil, WONDERPLATE is the result
of years of painstaking research. It forms a tough, durable film that reduces
wear on bearings and other essential parts, helping to save countless dollars
in maintenance and replacement costs. Downtime is kept to a bare minimum.
WONDERPLATE's
multi-purpose capacity shrinks grease inventory - - simplifies lubrication
and purchasing. Color-coded (oyster white), it helps eliminate the hazard
of using the wrong grease. |
WONDERPLATEHas
Mechanical Stability
WONDERPLATE is
formulated to provide the maximum mechanical stability. Mechanical stability
is the measure of the grease's resistance to break down while in service.
One laboratory test method to determine this stability is to measure the
penetration before and after being worked in the mechanical worker. This
unit forces the grease through small openings. The normal test duration
is 10,000 strokes and WONDERPLATE, after testing,
shows less than one percent change.
WONDERPLATE Is
Heat Resistant
WONDERPLATE is
an excellent heat resistant grease. It is formulated to provide lubrication
up to 325°F. Temperatures above this should be lubricated with the
LITHPLEX or HI-TEMP greases. In order to determine the heat resistant characteristics
of the grease, the dropping point test is run. This indicates the temperature
at which the soap structure melts. WONDERPLATE has
a dropping point of 350°F. which allows a 30 degree margin to provide
the excellent lubrication expected. Coupled with the high melt point of
the soap is the well refined oxidation resistant mineral oil, providing
a high heat resistant lubricant.
WONDERPLATEIs
Versatile
WONDERPLATE's
amazing versatility allows you to safely reduce your grease inventory and
storage requirements . . . simplify your preventative maintenance procedures
. . . help cut grease purchasing costs . . . and help eliminate the problem
of misapplication. These savings, plus WONDERPLATE's
superior performance, mean higher productivity . . . increased efficiency
. . . and greater economy.
WONDERPLATEHas
Low Temperature Pumpability
To provide multi-purpose lubrication,
WONDERPLATE
has
good low temperature properties. These low temperature properties are necessary
since equipment must start up when cold and have proper lubrication. The
grease must be able to move to the points requiring a lubricant. To check
out the flowability of a grease at low temperatures, the "test for apparent
viscosity of the grease apparatus" is utilized. In this apparatus, the
grease is charged in the cylinder, cooled to a predetermined temperature
for a given period of time and then by constant pressure forced through
an orifice. A good No. 2 NLGI grease will flow about 7 grams in 10 minutes.
WONDERPLATE
provides
these good low temperature flow characteristics and does not become too
soft at the elevated temperatures.
WONDERPLATEIs
Water Resistant
WONDERPLATE is
a superior water resistant grease. It is highly stable, being formulated
with a lithium soap and well refined mineral oils. Its water resistance
is obtained two ways: the lithium soap which is not water soluble and the
oil. As a result, WONDERPLATE resists water.
This type of grease has been mechanically mixed with 20 percent water and
operated in a wheel bearing tester and provided excellent lubrication.
WONDERPLATEHas
Long Service Life
WONDERPLATE's
superior mechanical stability, plus its extreme resistance to heat, cold
and water, means longer service life for your hard-working units. It helps
eliminate the cost of purchasing, distributing, and maintaining a large
stock of most types of grease. With proper use of WONDERPLATE
you
count less "time out" for repairs . . . you reduce maintenance costs and
increase profits, thanks to smoother-running equipment. |
