NON-DETERGENT MOTOR OIL
works very well to lubricate some compressors, hydraulics, bearings, shafts,
journals, chains & cables, to name just a few applications.
|
| Texas Refinery Corp. NON-DETERGENT
MOTOR OIL is an amber colored oil. Its base consists of neutral
oils. Neutral oils are the cream of the crop when it comes to base oils
and are preferred because of their high heat range and resistance to temperature
change. This product has been developed through intensive research and
through years of field testing. This product has proven itself time and
time again. |
NON-DETERGENT MOTOR
OIL Has
Quality Base Oils
The base oils used for NON-DETERGENT
MOTOR OIL are a big part of the story. The base oils have been put
through several refining steps to make them the finest available products
for this application. The oils go through a solvent extraction process
that removes undesirable characteristics from the oil. This prevents the
formation of sludge, gum, and varnish. The oils then go through a hydro-treating
step that improves the oxidation resistance of the oil, as well as improves
their response to the quality additives used by Texas Refinery Corp. The
oils are then dewaxed to give them extremely good all-around characteristics.
NON-DETERGENT MOTOR
OIL Has
Superb R&O Additives
Non detergent motor oils normally do
not have good quality additives or very much in the way of additives at
all. However, Texas Refinery Corp. puts in a large amount of rust and oxidation
inhibitors. This means the oil, after going through several processes to
improve its oxidation characteristics, also has a good quantity of anti-oxidation
chemicals, giving this product extremely long life. The rust inhibitor
is also a high quality item in a rather sizeable amount. Since the oils
have been put through the hydro-treating process, they respond very well
to the rust inhibitor giving the product excellent anti-rust characteristics.
NON-DETERGENT MOTOR
OIL Uses
Special Anti-Foam Agents
Another chemical added in sizeable quantity
is the anti-foam additive. Foaming can play havoc with any oil. An oil
with air trapped in it is easily compressed. This means metal-to-metal
contact can take place and, of course, wear rates will go up. The Texas
Refinery Corp. product uses special anti-foaming agents to get rid of any
trapped air. This means the oil has a very high film strength and can prevent
the metal-to-metal contact and wear that might take place with a lesser
quality oil.
NON-DETERGENT MOTOR
OIL Contains
Great Anti-Wear Chemistry
NON-DETERGENT
MOTOR OIL also includes an anti-wear additive. This is a chemical
long chain zinc compound which does double duty of anti-wear and anti-oxidation.
This anti-wear additive is considered to be one of the top discoveries
for anti-wear application of this type. It is a superior quality anti-wear
additive and another reason this product is the cream of the crop. Be assured
of lower wear rates using this product compared to competitors.
NON-DETERGENT MOTOR
OIL Has
A Wide Operating Temperature Range
Other areas where the quality of Texas
Refinery Corp. NON-DETERGENT MOTOR OIL shows
its stuff is in its viscosity index. You can see in the specs the viscosity
index is at least 95, and that is without any viscosity index improvers
being added. This means the oils do not thin out under heat, nor will they
thicken up under cold temperatures the way many lesser quality products
do. All five weights have excellent pour points. This means NON-DETERGENT
MOTOR OIL can operate in fairly cold temperatures and perform much
better than the competition.
NON-DETERGENT MOTOR
OIL Is
Versatile
Obviously this product can be used as
a non-detergent motor oil, but there are many other uses. For example,
it can lubricate bearings, shafts and journals, gear cases (non EP), chains
and cables, as well as many machine tools. It is quite often used as a
general plant lubricant, even handling some hydraulic and compressor applications. |
